The Factory
Since 1972, Four Wheel Campers have strived to produce the best campers for off the beaten path explorations. Founder Dave Rowe produced his design to fit standard pick-up trucks with reduced weight aluminum frames. First located in Colorado, in 1989, the factory moved to Woodland, California where it remains today. Four-Wheel Campers products have become a natural fit for the burgeoning Overland market. The goal is to continually improve, and to reach both campground campers and those off the road adventurers. The staff and owners strive to listen and learn from both their current and future customers.

What makes a Four Wheel camper different from the competition? Lightweight construction and dependable durability. The all-welded flex frame allows our campers to be hauled in all terrains. Four Wheel Campers are designed to fit on today's stock truck, be it Toyota Tacoma or a Dodge Diesel. Our unique mounting system allows us to mount your camper from the inside of the truck, using simple eye bolts rather than employing large exterior mounting systems that can be very costly and hard to move from truck to truck.
Extremely Low Profile
Four Wheel Campers have an extremely low profile and are so lightweight they work fine for daily driving. In today's world, with the price of gas, our low profile and lightweight campers have little effect on fuel consumption. We have many customers who show up to work in a suit and tie driving a truck with a Four Wheel Camper, then camp that evening wearing a pair of jeans still driving the same vehicle they drove to work.
Light and Durable
Aluminum framing and skin keeps the camper light and durable. Understated cabinetry, made of high grade plywood, provides lightweight simplicity and a greater feeling of spaciousness in a very compact living space. Decorative design elements are kept to an absolute minimum to reduce weight and increase durability. These three simple, yet complex goals, provide a very small niche in the camper marketplace. Whereas larger, more complex truck campers provide amenities and large living spaces, Four Wheel Campers embrace the ability to literally go camping in comfort anywhere your truck travels.
Patented Easy-Lift Roof System
The patented Easy-Lift roof system is rated to carry 1000 lbs of snow when the roof is in the up position. The all Welded Aluminum Flex-Frame allows the camper to withstand the toughest Off-Road driving conditions.
